Our Teaching Program

Program Overview

At The Friend in Need, we believe education is the key to breaking cycles of poverty and opening doors to opportunity. Our Teaching Program brings together passionate youth volunteers who dedicate their time each week to teaching English and mentoring underprivileged children.

What started with just a handful of students has grown into a program that now reaches 60+ children every week. Through language learning, guidance, and encouragement, we help children build confidence, improve communication skills, and prepare for a brighter future.

This program is more than just lessons—it’s about friendship, leadership, and empowerment. By connecting young volunteers with children in need, we create a community where learning flows both ways, and every small act of service sparks lasting change.
